The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Le Moyne College Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Le Moyne College. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2031. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.

Licensure Information

Our 150-hour accounting program is registered with the New York State Department of Education and meets the educational requirements for C.P.A. licensure and, in general, to corresponding examinations and licensure in other states. We have not determined if our program meets licensure requirements outside of New York State .  Students who seek licensure within another state should review educational requirements of the respective state to assure that the program meets specific state requirements.   The student should review the  additional coursework that may be required in other states to sit for the C.P.A exam and obtain .

ACOTE® accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs satisfy the states’ educational requirements in all states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Students graduating from an ACOTE® accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational program are eligible to take the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification exam and apply for licensure in all states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. For more information regarding state qualifications and licensure requirements, please refer to the Ìý·É±ð²ú±è²¹²µ±ð.

Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the AANP or ANCC national certification exams.  After successful completion of this exam the graduate will be a certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  All states require licensure to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the certification examination.  You may be required to take state specific tests or fulfill other requirements to achieve licensure in another state. We have not determined if our program leads to licensure in all states.  To determine the licensure requirements for a specific state, you should contact the Board of Nursing for that state.

Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). After successful completion of this exam, the graduate will be a certified Physician’s Assistant.  In addition, all states require licensure to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the PANCE certification examination.  You may be required to take state specific tests or fulfill other requirements to achieve licensure in another state. We have not determined if our program leads to licensure in all states.  You may review the licensure requirements for a specific state .

Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the New York State teacher certification in:

• Inclusive Childhood & Special Education (grades 1-6)
• Inclusive Adolescent & Special Education (grades 7-12)
•Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (grades Pre-K – 12)
•Adolescent/Secondary Education (grades 7-12)

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program curriculum is designed to lead to eligibility to apply for a limited permit, provide preparation for the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam, and eventual full licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State. It should be noted that licensure in New York includes a background check. The licensure requirements can be found at: .
